Alemayeu Hailemicael is Dean of the College of Natural Sciences at Arba Minch University in Ethiopia. He is both a researcher and senior academic staff member, leading under- and post-graduate programs in biology, environmental sciences, biotechnology, and botany. He also advises graduate students in the climate change and development, environmental sciences and botany programs. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and a PhD in environmental sciences. He is also a coordinator of Southern Node of the Open Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology (OFAB) in Ethiopia.
