Kenneth Monjero Igadwa

Kenneth Monjero Igadwa is a research assistant at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) in Nairobi. He has worked with biotechnology tools in both livestock and crop research and has experience in the diagnosis and management of plant disease. Kenneth pioneered the establishment of the KARLO Children Science Centre Kenya, which empowers young people through hands-on and minds-on exploration.

He attained his undergraduate from Kenya Methodist University and is now finishing his master’s degree in crop protection at the University of Nairobi.

Kenneth hopes to use his passion for science to bring about positive change in Kenyan society. Through his participation in the GLFP, he hopes to improve his skills in strategic planning, grassroots organizing, and communications so that he can promote access to scientific innovation in Kenya.
