Louis Juma Baraka

Louis Juma Baraka works as a regional agriculture advisor for the Tanzanian Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives. He coordinates various agriculture programs and serves as an advisor to local government authorities. His area of specialty is helping farmers recover from banana wilt through the application of existing technologies.

Louis obtained a degree in agriculture science from the Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2012. He hopes his experience at the Global Leadership Fellows Program will allow him to return to Tanzania with new ideas and strategies for bringing everyone on board to support the fight of banana wilt with scientifically proven technologies.
