Ramona Nieva is a marketing professional with 15 years of experience at one of the leading television networks in the Philippines. On the side, she creates media content to fan her personal advocacies. Ramona produced and anchored a radio show about IT in early 2000 and is the creator of a microsite for the FreeJonasBurgosMovement, a human-rights campaign in support of a farmer-activist abducted by state forces in 2002. In the last three years, she helped produce two full-length documentaries.
Ramona got involved with Philippine’s National Biotechnology Week and came to realize that biotechnology is unfamiliar territory for many Filipinos, including herself. Moving forward, she would like to help erase this divide by raising awareness.
