Vanessa Mosley Greenlee manages daily operations for the Alliance for Science, ensuring team coordination to reach organizational goals. Prior to her current position she served as director of executive affairs for the Boyce Thompson Institute, working with leadership to advance and periodically renew the institute’s strategic agenda in plant science. Vanessa holds a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Harvard Extension School and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Tusculum College. In 2012, she helped to establish Innovation Academy of the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network. Vanessa attributes a passion for finding consensus through conflict to coming-of-age experiences in the deep South, in a town where carpet manufacturing drew a sudden diaspora of Latino immigrants and challenged two cultures to co-exist. Vanessa resides with her young family in the Finger Lakes region of New York, supports local libraries and live music, and enjoys making delicious maple syrup.
